Win A Free Cutter Shaft From 1 Lacrosse!

UPDATE: And the Winner is Rique D Rodriguez!  Here was Rique’s answer to our question:

I would use this 1 Lacrosse shaft so I am able to give my little brother my old Lacrosse stick.  He is entering High School and I had to buy my own stick when I started playing.  So I am going to give him this so he doesn’t have to buy his own. The stick is brand new and because real lacrosse season is not starting til spring, I thought it would be nice to give him a decent stick instead of a used stick. Hopefully when I get time off of school I can go see him play. I want him to say my older brother gave me this.

Well now you can, Rique!  Please email us your shipping address to [email protected]!

Thanks to everyone for playing, and look for another 1 Lacrosse contest soon!

Do you want to step your equipment game up to the next level this season?  Well… at the bottom of this post we give you the chance to win a brand new 2012 Cutter Shaft from our advertising partner, 1 Lacrosse!!! There’s your opportunity right there! How would you use a new shaft to become a better lacrosse player? It’s something worth thinking about for this contest.

1 lacrosse 2012 products

1 Lacrosse has the simple goal of being the best lacrosse shaft company in the world, so that is pretty much all that they focus on. Shafts, shafts, shafts and more shafts! Their 2011 product offering was so good that we actually had some LAS themed shafts made up to sell in our store. So, when we heard they had new product for 2012, we were obviously excited.

Finding a good shaft can be tough, but 1 Lacrosse made it easy for us by explaining what the advantages are for each product, and by offering them in a variety of colors.  Look good to play good, right?

1 Lacrosse offers shafts for beginners and pros alike, so we’ll start with novice equipment and work our way up Check it out!

1L 6000

The 1L 6000 is a classic lacrosse shaft with a modern and colorful splash that is made of an aluminum alloy.  It has that classic smooth finish, is available in attack/middie, defense and goalie lengths, and it comes in four different colors: Red, Blue, Green and Yellow.  It’s a great way for younger players to replace the shafts they start out with without breaking the bank.

1 Lacrosse shaft

Insignia 2.0

The Insignia 2.0 7075 TI-ALLOY is a definite step up in quality, and the more aggressive design pattern appeals to more intermediate to advanced players.  The shaft features a rubberized finish which is good for increased grip.  It comes in attack/middie, defense and goalie lengths and is available is Blue, Gold, Gray, Green, Orange and Red.  This handle is durable and comes in the standard octagonal shape.

Cutter

The Cutter 7075 TI-ALLOY is made of the same material as the Insignia version but it cuts out ALL of the hype and fluff and gets straight to business.  The Cutter 7075 has a slightly textured grip and comes in a variety of colors, one of which will certainly float your boat.  This shaft is a one-color wonder and the green is particularly loud and striking.  The shaft also comes in Gold, Gunmetal, Maroon, Orange, Purple, Red, Royal Blue, Sky Blue and White.

1 Lacrosse shaft

Cutter Elite

The Cutter Elite SC+20 is a 1 Lacrosse exclusive.  They worked with True Temper on this shaft to come up with something no one else offers and the result is a shaft that’s very lightweight, and 20% stronger than Scandium, hence the SC+20 name!  We like a good SC shaft, but often break them, so the added strength is a nice feature.  The shaft comes in a classic smooth grip in Black, Gunmetal and Silver.

Cutter Elite 1 Lacrosse shaft

Box Cutter

Now the Box Cutter 7075 is something different altogether because it is actually designed for the added abuse that box lacrosse entails.  It has thicker walls, and added strength, and will allow you to crosscheck and slash to your heart’s content.  This is heavy duty shaft artillery!  The Box Cutter comes in Black, Gunmetal and Silver and has a similar classic smooth finish.  It comes as a 32″ shaft standard.

i will use the shaft but to not only look good, but with the weight and feel, i will use it to my advantage because with a lighter shaft i can manuver my stick around oposing players and pull off some insane dodges.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000160899702 Tim Spacely

this shaft will make me look good on the lacrosse field, and everyone know if u look good u play good. simple as that

My school’s team is pretty stacked this year. My current shaft is fairly heavy, so If I actually want playing time this year, I will need to improve a lot. Dodges become easier with less weight and shots become faster too. I’m determined to start this year. I’m not going to be a sideline player. I practice and practice about 4 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday). This shaft will only improve my progress and make my dreams more possible.

  • Tyler Loges

Me? I don’t need a shaft. I’m not interested in making my self better, I’ll be great with any shaft. I would give this shaft away to someone in need who wants to play lacrosse, also known as the best sport in the world, but can’t afford to buy new gear for themselves.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jarred.hatfield Jarred Hatfield

I would use this shaft to be a better player by simply obtaining this shaft. With this shaft I have no excuse for sucking, no matter how poorly my pocket is strung. (Even though I have 2 heads strung the exact same way by me, perfectly, because I string my heads perfectly, because I am almost as perfect as the cutter shaft, which I happen to use the older version on my game stick currently!)

Giving me this shaft would just be phenomenal because I would have 2 stick the exact same, one just looking slightly fresher/new with this. This shaft is hella filthy, and so is my game/swagger.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002043727559 Stuart Mortimer

First of all it’s a 1Lacrosse shaft no matter what they’ll help you lift your game, secondly i would use it to wreck the opponents hands if they tried to conceal the ball from me and lastly the thought of finally winning a contest would boost my confidence, where i would express it on the field in a beast like manner.

In lacrosse you can never blame or thank your stick for being bad or amazing. This is the one exception to the rule. with this shaft there are unlimited ways it can help me some examples are it’s strength weight and feeling.
    thanks for the opportunity.

When we play lacrosse the stick is our olny arm in a sense . IF our arm can break , fracture , or snap easily it wouldnt be good for tasks we need to acomplish . If a lacrosse shaft cannot acomplish the hell we put it through , it would be worthless . This shaft wouldnt put us players at any disability on the field. The cutter would let us play our game to the max , to our full ability. Like All “arms” should

If I get this cutter shaft, not only will i be the best lacrosse player on the planet, but i will give my old shaft to a new player on my highschool team. I will also go back to all the major wars of time and defeat my enemy with one blow from the Cutter shaft. please pick me.

  • Phil Hess

There’s a freshman player on my college team that has been borrowing sticks throughout all of fall ball because he broke his only shaft in the first week.  I would use this shaft to make me better in that I would help my teammate out and give it to him; you’re only as good as your team and if your teammates dont have usable sticks you cant enjoy the game together.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jon-Meier/1492677547 Jon Meier

i’ll use the One Lacrosse Shaft to quicken my reflexes. Currently I use a cut down swizzbeat on my goalie stick and it is extremely heavy. If I won a cutter shaft, the lightness of the shaft would quicken my head to the ball and it would give me more leverage on my clears. Adding a cutter shaft to my setup would help me develop as a player and give me an upper hand on the field

    Apart
from the basics, like dominating both ends of the field as a true midi, beating
BYU and putting them in their place, and putting a ring on my team mates’ and
my finger in May, the gold shaft will show there is still a real lacrosse
company that has pride in their gear, not just marketing gimmicks, that we can
all rep. Let’s start the movement.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1117303650 Graham C. Voss

I will beat this shaft to smithereens and use it in every practice and every game. I will use this shaft so much it will be impossible not to get better.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Sami-Ascha/1819797821 Sami Ascha

How would I use this shaft? Well, it’s simply really. I’ve been through my fair share of shafts, with several of them being broken or horribly abused. I need a shaft that can sustain my demanding form of play, a shaft that can yard sale without even a mark to show it, and this shaft is the cutter.

  • http://www.facebook.com/elijames10 Eli Ikard

I’ve been using the same shaft since I started my life of lacrosse. I’ve worn down all the design to nothing.  It’s filled with dents and memories but it’s certainly got me to a better place for being a better person not only on the field, but off too.  I would always recommend my stick to people just starting since I live on the west coast and it’s just rising here.  Obviously I’d do the same for 1Lacrosse if I were to ever obtain this beautiful shaft. I will help myself become a better player by working it in, setting new goals, influencing the people around me, and preparing for college.

  • http://www.facebook.com/snmira613 Sam Calaska Miranda

I will use this lacrosse shaft to become a better lacrosse
player by shooting as much as possible, passing and playing wall ball but I will
also use this lacrosse shaft to help the high schoolers that I coach become
better lacrosse players. I vow to use this shaft to help grow myself as a
player and to also grow the game of Lacrosse.

I started to play lacrosse a year ago and started with an al 6000. I used to think that that stick was the best thing in the world until my dad bought me my vanadium that I am currently using. Then during training my friend let me borrow his stick and I noticed how heavy my vanadium is. Now a good player is someone who knows how to utilize his tools. My tools have not been that great but i would like to think that i became alot better with what I had. Now imagine if a had a 1lacrosse cutter…..

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1144851642 Justin Phifer

These shafts look great. The best way to become a better lacrosse player is to practice and practice hard. I would be using my stick (this shaft with possibly a clutch) to be out on my lax wall and ripping on the cage every day. Having an incredible stick that you don’t have to worry about come game day will also be beneficial. Practice makes perfect, and having sick gear can only help. Take the cutter out on the field, after having used it to make you a better player, and there will never be any such thing as a sub par game.

    • Carmen MacKenzie

you deserve this more then anyone else just sayin

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1808658335 Cameron Leonard

I’m not one of those kids who have a billion shafts at one time, I have one shaft, one head, that i use every practice, every game, every day. I’ve just come off of intensive therapy for an injury i sustained 2 years ago and didnt even know about. 4 of my vertabre were cracked so i just played through the pain for 2 years and didnt think anything of it. I got my therapist to include my stick work in all  my workouts, so i was ready as soon as I came back. My first day back, I was invited to play with my travel team ive dreamt of playing. Being the only freshman on the best team in central virginia is crazy, but its my life. I literally fell out of my bed a year ago and i have a scar because i was sleeping with my stick. Ill use this shaft every day of my life, you wont regret choosing me as a winner when you see me repping 1lacrosse with this shaft in college at the d1 level.

All great lacrosse players worked hard to become a better
lacrosse player, but that’s not the only thing that raised their skill. Whether
they started with a $25 lacrosse shaft, or $100 lacrosse shaft the feel and
comfort of the shaft in their hands really made an effect on their skill. It’s
not all about feel and comfort though. A shaft needs to be durable and light
enough to the point where it’s not going to slow you down. We all have a
different style, and the shaft helps to complete our style or perfect it. Some
may like the extra grip shafts, but I Personally stick to the pure simple
non-grip classic shafts. It looks like the Cutter has a nice shape, and a
unique design.  I also hear its light and yet still durable, so honestly
this shaft might just be the right one to complete my style. So I’d really
appreciate it if you guys could send one my way.

the coating means the stick won’t freeze your hands off in the winter wonderland that is Seattle.  which means wall ball enhancement.

I’ve been only playing lacrosse for one year now. It all started in 8th grade when my friends were joking around saying I should play and be the goalie. I thought “why not?”. I began to watch lacrosse games on t.v., and realized that if I put my heart to it, I could one day be like that. I spent at least six hours a day devoted to practice to be the best I could be. I didn’t have the best gear, but I made due with what I was given. At the end of the season, I was pulled aside by the high school coach and he asked if I was sticking with lacrosse. I said it was the best sport ever. He then told me good, you got yourself a spot on varsity next season. I have been trying to find gear to get, but I can never find the right equipment. This shaft is the kind of shaft I have been looking for. I practice every day to get ready for the season. I still don’t have a goalie shaft, but I practice with what I can. I want to influence as many people I can.

I have a single lacrosse shaft. Although I use that shaft day in and day out to better my skills and to help others learn, another shaft would be greatly appreciated. Not only will this help me better myself as a player for the first Lacrosse team in South Texas (#flourblufflax), I can also use this to show newbies and skeptics alike how fun lacrosse is. Living in a place where lacrosse is as commonplace as Russian Boar Wrestling, another shaft could definately change lives and add love for the game.

  • Carmen MacKenzie

I’ve been using the same shaft since I started playing. Its not that big where I’m from so there’s not many opportunity’s  to play, but I can promise you I would wear this stick down to the bone, practice makes perfect. I need this shaft.

I have played at a high level of lacrosse. I am 31 now, and really can’t do much else in my career. But what I am doing now, is passing what I have learned over the years to the kids I coach. 88 kids to be exact. I love to coach kids, and all I care about is that my kids get better, everyday we have practice. So what I would do if I win this 1 lacrosse shaft is give it to one of my kids, that I think would benefit the most from it. I enjoy gear just like the next person, but when one of my kids eyes light up when I give them something either I won, or something that one of my lacrosse contacts have sent to me. That’s the most gratifying thing for me. Go Stampede LC…!

I would use the Cutter 1Lacrosse shaft to help better lacrosse through coaching players. I have been offered a job to help coach my old travel team. the only catch is no pay, but i love the game so much that i can’t turn it down. i want to build the game of lacrosse no matter the cost! This 1Lacrosse Stick would provide me with a solid stick to help coach the youth of lacrosse! It will also show the kids how 1Lacrosse is the way to go when choosing equipment!
