Sweet Sweet Gloves of the Week: Alabama’s Nike Vapor Elites

Editor’s note: The Sweet Sweet Gloves of the Week series continues with a look at some very special Nike Lacrosse gloves for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide…

The LAS Tipline lit up big time yesterday with a submission from Tuscaloosa. OH BOY are these University of Alabama (SELC D1) mitts special. Originally we had thought these were Bama’s 2012 gloves, but according to @TideLax, that’s just not the case. These are the 2011 models! The Crimson Tide will be rolling with Brine King III’s this spring. Shout out to Connor Davis for the photos!

Wish we had more photos of the Alabama men’s lacrosse team sporting these Nike Vapor Elites in crimson, gray, and white.

Roll tide!

Nike Lacrosse has been revealing some good looking gloves for a lot of the NCAA D1 schools (Ohio State, Hopkins, Cornell, and Syracuse) this year, but we have yet to see a pair for an MCLA team. For now, we’ll settle with showing you last year’s model from the Nike school with the most National Football Titles.

Great looking logo.

Nicely done Tide. These were very well designed, and the finished product looks superb.

The cuffs feature both the 'Bama logo and each player's number.

Alabama actually started their 2012 spring season today with a scrimmage against Birmingham-Southern (NCAA D3), and I bet they looked sharp in their new gear.

Check out the full 2012 schedule for Alabama over at and keep up with all things Tide via the Alabama Lacrosse website.
