I got a surprise package in the mail the other day with a piece of waxed mesh in it from Platinum Lacrosse, an emerging lacrosse company out of Canada that offers shafts, mesh, and stringing supplies. They call their new mesh product Hydra Mesh, and label it is as being 100% Made in Canada. Pretty cool.
No crazy colors or dyes on this sample piece, so it’s all about performance. Let’s see how this mesh strings up!
I was able to string up a nice pocket right away. The mesh was very soft right out of the bag, and I was able to pull it down tight with ease. After that, I ran it under some water, and tried to soak the mesh. While the mesh got a bit softer at first, it quickly hardened up, and my channelled pocket was set. I threw some shooters in and now I’m ready for wall ball. I’ll be sure to let you know how that goes, but in the meantime, if you’re looking for Canadian waxed mesh, check out Plantinum Lacrosse.
We’re hoping they send us one of those YELLOW Platinum Shafts next! Looking good!
