Penn State’s First Nike Glove Is BALLIN’!

PSU is looking sharp in 2012.

So far, Cornell has gotten three different Nike gloves and now we get to see Penn State’s model.  The Big Red got gloves in red, white and red/white… THREE pairs!  So far PSU has only gotten one glove.  But my oh my, is it a doozy!!!!

The Nittany Lions and Nike only had two colors to work with here, but that didn’t stop them from doing something truly special.  The glove itself is white and blue, and nothing short of basic, but the fingers are ALL white… except for the index finger, which is navy and white.  And here I was thinking that the PSU glove could be boring!

It’s a great mitten, the best PSU has had in YEARS, and probably some sign that we should just get on the Penn State lax team bandwagon right now.  The white on white swoosh is a nice touch.  Subtle but strong.

Pitt grad and a Steeler on that list, smart

I like this list, but where’s the West Coast love? Woulda liked to see a certain 49er included.

Gore would have been a great addition to this list. Simply an oversight and not a reflection on anyones love of the silver and black…(cough…cough..this guy). Willis was one of my suggestions for defense as well.

Here’s some west coast love: Patrick Kearney (DE- Seahawks) had a lax scholarship at Virginia but quit after his freshman year so that he could play football for the Cavs as a walk-on.

Thought about him, but he clearly lost his love for the game after quitting. Geez.

Okay so you’ve got Kearney slotted in (I’m assuming at d-mid or LSM), who else ya got?

I like all these choices and some of the ones offered by readers. Gotta believe Chris Johnson from the Titans (via E.Carolina) could do damage in open field as a middy.

I know this is for current players only, but here are some old-school NFLers who would be wicked middies: Barry Sanders; OJ Simpson; Gale Sayers; Walter Payton; and Deion Sanders. Bo Jackson at LSM.

Chris Johnson would be a great middie but another Johnson that would be dominant would be Calvin “Megatron” Johnson. 6’4 230+ with a 4.3 40 yard dash. He would be hard to stop!

    Those turned out nice!

If the three white fingers would’ve been blue it would be a complete knockout in my opinion.  Still looks great though.

These are definitely my favorite college gloves.
