I like the idea of custom facemasks, but if it prevents me from playing at the top of my game by restricting vision or adding too much weight then it doesn’t matter how cool I look on the field. I can see this trend making way for a new design of facemask that will become the new standard in the sport.

Looks cool, but ultimately if it restricts vision at all it will die out.
Trust me, I’m an old fart that lived through the dark days of double chin pads.

Cool, but unless it is made out titanium it probably adds to much weight.

I imagine that they would go minimalist for goalies but yes i could see defenders with a grill full of iron ( or titanium for that matter) bearing down with a new kind of rage upon attack men with a mask like the NFL linemen are sporting now. However I dont think this will catch on too much A. you need vision in lacrosse at all levels and this seems to have a few to many bars is that respect B. I dont know about you but imoh lax is a pretty classy sport i know i am not gangster enough to pull this off hah.
