Connor Wilson MUST Dye And String: Aussie Traditionals

7 - Published March 1, 2012 by in Dye Jobs, Stick Tech, String Jobs

I like to dye a stick or two, and I love stringing up traditional pockets.  I’m far from a professional, but my designs are usually pretty creative and striking, and I clearly love thin artists’ tape, as I use it almost constantly.

I did two dye and string jobs this time around for the Shields brothers, of Washington State and Perth, Australia fame.  Daniel and Matty Shields are now at Mount Olive College, which will field an NCAA D2 team next year.  Daniel got the MOC colored green Warrior Evolution, and Matty has the Western Australia inspired black and yellow Brine Clutch.

Both guys wanted a wide traditional, so I kept the side leathers tight to the sidewall to create a natural leather channel in the middle.  Each traditional is between a 6 and 7 diamond method.
